Graham Richards's profile
Graham Richards MInstF (Cert) freelance fundraiser. Chair of Yorkshire Institute of Fundraising. Legacy Marketing Specialist in small, medium and local charities. Experienced in Donor Development, Gift Aid, Trusts, Online Giving, etc. I do not consider myself a fundraising consultant, as my interest is in hands-on fundraising and enabling those in smaller organisations to carry out practical fundraising. As such, my strapline is: Small is Bountiful, because I believe that smaller, more local charities have real advantages over some of the "big boys" when it comes to marketing legacy fundraising. This is especially relevant when you consider that legacy fundraising can be run on a shoestring. People just need to be shown how. I am currently working on developing charities' online marketing for legacy donations, as most have crap legacy pages on their websites. With a list of "industry standards", these can be greatly improved for not much cost, but with a much greater potential for increasing income from legacies. I also have some knowledge/experience of legacy administration, which again, many smaller charities are in the dark about.
